Privacy Policy — PixelDoc
This policy describes how PixelDoc (“the app”) handles information. It matches the shipping app: a local document scanner that can show Google ads.
The short version
- Scanned pages and generated PDFs stay on your device unless you share them.
- There is no PixelDoc account or login.
- The app uses Google AdMob to show a banner ad. Google may collect advertising identifiers and device information for that purpose.
- Camera access is used only to capture document pages.
What the app does on your device
Camera
PixelDoc uses the camera to photograph document pages. Images are written to local app storage so you can build a PDF. Denying camera permission disables scanning.
Local documents and PDFs
Captured pages and generated PDFs are stored on the device (including the Downloads folder when you save a PDF). Deleting a document in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes on-device app data (subject to your device backups).
Sharing
If you share a PDF through Android’s share sheet, the destination app’s policy applies. We do not operate a PixelDoc upload server.
Advertising
The free app shows a Google AdMob banner. Google is an independent controller for ads. Google may use the advertising ID and typical ad signals described in Google’s policies. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android Settings.
AdMob publisher: pub-5807940788837881.
Data we do not collect
We do not run a PixelDoc account. We do not receive your scanned document contents on our servers. We do not sell your documents.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Revoke camera permission in Android Settings.
- Reset advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in Android Settings.
- Delete documents in the app or uninstall it.
